Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using iQoxi, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms are governed by German law.

2. The service

iQoxi is a Digital Product Passport Infrastructure (DPPI) that allows users to register physical products, verify their authenticity, and transfer ownership. The service is provided by Qentraq, based in Wuppertal, Germany.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You may not use iQoxi for any illegal purpose or to register stolen or counterfeit products.

4. Product registration

When registering a product, you confirm that you are the legitimate owner of the product and that all information provided is accurate. Registering a product you do not own, or providing false serial numbers, is strictly prohibited and may result in account termination.

5. Ownership transfers

Ownership transfers are recorded permanently on the product passport. Both parties in a transfer must have iQoxi accounts. Once confirmed, transfers cannot be reversed through the platform. Contact us at hello@iqoxi.com for disputes.

6. Stolen product reporting

If you report a product as stolen, you confirm that a police report has been filed and provide the reference number. False stolen reports are a violation of these terms and may result in legal action.

7. Uploaded content

You retain ownership of files you upload (such as invoices). By uploading, you grant iQoxi a license to store and display these files to authorized parties (such as ownership transfer recipients). We do not share your files with third parties.

8. Disclaimer

iQoxi provides product passport infrastructure but cannot guarantee the physical authenticity of products registered on the platform. Verification is based on the information provided by users. We are not responsible for fraudulent registrations made by bad actors.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by German law, Qentraq is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of iQoxi. Our total liability shall not exceed €100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting hello@iqoxi.com. Termination does not affect product passport records already created.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of significant changes. Continued use of iQoxi after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
