1. Who we are

iQoxi is a Digital Product Passport service operated by Qentraq, based in Wuppertal, Germany. We can be reached at hello@iqoxi.com. When you use iQoxi, Qentraq acts as the data controller for your personal data.

2. What data we collect

We collect the following personal data when you use iQoxi: your email address and password (for account creation), your name (as provided during registration or ownership transfers), product information you register (brand, model, serial number), purchase invoices you upload, and ownership transfer history. We also collect basic usage data (page visits, interactions) to improve our service.

3. Why we collect your data

We process your data to provide the iQoxi service (account management, product registration, verification, ownership transfers), to comply with our legal obligations under EU law, to communicate with you about your account and our service, and to improve iQoxi based on usage patterns.

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process your data based on: contract performance (to provide the service you signed up for), legal obligation (to comply with applicable laws), and legitimate interests (to improve our service and prevent fraud).

5. How long we keep your data

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Product passport data is kept indefinitely as it forms part of the ownership record. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, though product records may be retained in anonymized form.

6. Who we share your data with

We use Supabase (based in the US, with EU data residency) to store your data securely. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data with law enforcement if required by law. Ownership transfer data is visible to both parties involved in a transfer.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, delete your account and data, export your data in a portable format, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@iqoxi.com.

8. Cookies

iQoxi uses only essential cookies required for the service to function (session management, authentication). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect service functionality.

9. Security

We take security seriously. Your data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We regularly review our security practices.
